This 1970 Seattle house, originally designed by architect Gene Zema, was lovingly renovated, maintaining its mid-century modern spirit while incorporating modern touches.  A mezzanine loft was removed from main living area, opening up the dining room ceiling to the vaulted space above.  The wall between the kitchen and main living area was also removed, visually connecting the spaces.
